Obstetrics and Gynaecology (OB-GYN) is a medical specialty dedicated to the care of women’s reproductive health. Obstetrics focuses on pregnancy, childbirth, and postnatal care, ensuring the health of both mother and baby. Gynaecology addresses the diagnosis and treatment of conditions related to the female reproductive system, including menstrual disorders, fertility issues, menopause, and diseases like endometriosis or ovarian cysts. OB-GYN specialists provide routine preventive care, such as Pap smears and breast examinations, as well as advanced treatments and surgeries when needed. This field plays a vital role in supporting women’s health across all stages of life.
