Dermatology is the branch of medicine focused on diagnosing and treating conditions related to the skin, hair, nails, and mucous membranes. As the body’s largest organ, the skin acts as a protective barrier and plays a crucial role in overall health. Dermatologists address a wide range of issues, including common conditions like acne, eczema, and psoriasis, as well as more complex disorders like skin cancer, autoimmune diseases, and rare genetic conditions. They also provide cosmetic treatments to improve skin appearance, such as laser therapy, chemical peels, and wrinkle reduction. By combining clinical care and cutting-edge technology, dermatology helps enhance both health and confidence.
